RIP – My Friend Joseph

The Church Militant lost one of its soldiers the other day as well as a personal friend and mentor. Awhile back, I mentioned in this post to pray for my friend Joseph.  He succumbed to his inoperable cancer and has now, God-willing, met his eternal reward.  I have never known anyone who embraced his own pending death so manfully and is an example to us all to follow in this regard.

Let us pray for his repose.  Let us also pray for his family. He leaves behind a wife and twelve children, many of them grown and with their own families.  Let us weep with those who weep.

Eternal rest grant to him, O Lord and let the perpetual light shine upon him.  May Joseph and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

For the rest of us, especially in these troubling times, stay vigilant.  Stay confessed.  Pray your rosary and wear  your scapular.  Be ready to fight the good fight with your boots on as Joseph did.

I would like to invite you to leave a reply. Thank you!
