Alas…my favorite feast day is upon us once again…Holy Mother Church recognizes my opinion on this feast and therefore allows us to celebrate it twice in the TLM…once today and then once again, externally, on Sunday. 🙂
Yesterday, I read in Dom Guéranger ‘s The Liturgical Year, the following Matins antiphon:
Let us adore Christ, the King, who ruleth the nations: who giveth fatness of spirit to them that eat him.
I love this feast because it’s just so darn Catholic and the procession is such a fitting way to proclaim the social Reign of Christ the King in our city and around the world.
VIVA CHRISTO REY!
