“Doory”

What can a 23 month old little boy say about intent? Apparently a great deal. I took this photo of “Flip” this evening at Mass. He has, over the past few weeks, been extremely persistent with his desire to be a porter and open and close his “doory.” A few weeks ago, he could barely move the door (which is about 5x his height). Now he is perfectly able to push on it, open it all the way to the stops, and let it close on him. Just because he kept persevering.

Instant and quiet entertainment for the length of Low Mass and then some! Victory for all parties involved.

His persistence and intent got him his goal.

What can I learn from this as I try to meet my professional, personal and spiritual goals? A heck of a lot – I need to be more intentional…it pays off.
